I am very passionate when it comes to skin care and make-up. I would like to share the knowledge that I know when it comes to skin care and any make-up tips. If you have any question on products or trends that you see, please feel free to ask away. If I don’t know it, I will definitely look into it.
I wanted to start with talking about facial massages, most of us just rub serums or face cream on and think that’s it. Did you know there is a technique to this and its very important that you’re using these products correctly. Just like our bodies need exercise to stay toned well your face needs it to look younger, who wouldn’t want to look younger.
First I want to share some benefits to facial massage, if you look online you will see tons of articles and benefits but I want to share the ones that are most important to me.
- Relieves tension – Have you ever experienced tension in your face from a night of laughing or a tension headache, well facial massages can help. If you have oily skin its ideal to massage for under 10 minutes and if you have normal to dry skin, please don’t go longer than 20 minutes too much stimulation can cause a breakout.
- Anti-aging – Facial massages are cheaper than Botox and fillers who really wants a needle in their face, it’s a great alternative but it can run you $500.00 per treatment and you will need to refill every 6 months. Well by facial massages you will increase blood flow to your face and it will give you a beautiful glow this is a natural face lift.
- Increase collagen – as we get wiser, the produce of our collagen slows down. Why do we need collagen? Well the reason we NEED this is to keep from developing wrinkles, crow’s feet and saggy skin just to name a few issues.
- Treat acne and acne marks – I am the type of person that will pick at my face, NOT sexy I know but it’s a nervous habit. Well facial massages will help eliminate the appearance of scarring and will help with inflammation caused by acne breakouts.
- Eliminates under eye bags and dark circles – by nature without a good concealer, I look like a raccoon. Many people think that you get these from lack of sleep even though that is partially true, it’s also in our genes. As we get older the skin around our eyes gets thinner and we lose elasticity, this causes the veins under our eyes to be much more noticeable. Cucumbers contain vitamin K that helps keep your under eyes hydrated, I try to use cucumbers when I meditate to increase relaxation. (Please use an eye cream not face cream a nice tip put in your refrigerator so when you apply, it has a cooling affect and remember tap this into your skin don’t rub)
Below I have added a picture of the way you should gently massage your face with a serum or face cream, you can use the tips of your fingers or use a face roller. (If you use a roller in the morning this will help with puffiness around your eyes and help tone your check bones and jaw line, just make sure to put it in the freezer) And as you’re doing these massages remember to always go upwards anything going down will cause more loose skin and NO one wants our skin to look dull and saggy.
Hope this helps keep your skin looking young and refreshed.
